Sex Toys

Sex Toys was a comic idea I came up with back in the early 1990's. The theme of the comic surrounds a woman and her assortment of animated anthropomorphic bondage equipment and other, er, um, "toys."

I admit that some of the cartoons are obscure in their humor, not to even mention weird. For example, my first one shows the main character (Colleen) hogtied on the floor. The ropes are talking to each other saying things like "Yipee" and "Gidyup." One rope is asking another toy the question "Well?" To which the toy is replying "Nope, thirty-one seconds!" Colleen is thinking to herself that the toys watched a western movie on television while she was at work. They have made a bet as to how fast they could hogtie her when she came home.

Colleen:
The main character is a young professional woman named Colleen who works a steady but boring job. Instead of having boyfriends she indulges in a rich sexual fantasy life with the help of her toys. This saves her a lot of money and heartache. No one knows about these toys but her and she intends to keep it that way.

Each toy was to get its own distinct personality. There are coils of rope, leather straps, a roll of duct tape called "Ducky", and a variety of, well, how do you say, insertion toys. While Colleen is away at work they watch television and get... ideas. I also added some other members to the troop like an enema nozzle that imagines himself a snake. Well, what can I say but she is very hygiene conscious.

Amy:
Eventually I added another character Amy which turns out to be Colleen's twin sister. Amy is different in that she has boyfriends, doesn’t particularly like bondage, and progresses from one temporary job to another usually quitting after getting herself tied up for one reason or another.

Now Amy is a blonde whereas her sister is a brunette. This is not meant as any joke about blondes verses brunettes. Its simply that I needed something to easily distinguish the two women. Amy and Colleen have yet to appear in a comic together as I like to keep their adventures separate. In fact I'm tempted to say that Colleen and Amy live in different parts of the country but are connected by similar destinies.

Although I have a couple more of these I have not felt inspired to draw any new ones for a few years now. Hopefully, when my life is less chaotic, I will sort through my pile of sketches and resume these adventures.
